The Datathon is a day online competition where you are challenged to work on a real-world business case from different areas of Machine Learning, AI, and Data Science. The teams have 24 hours to come up with a solution to a real business challenge based on the provided datasets. The jury and the society will award the most precise, but also creative solutions.

Datathon is a competition similar to a hackathon focused on using data analysis techniques to solve a real-world issue. Generally, participants create a product report that can solve practical world problems. Hence final product includes machine learning models, insights from statistical analysis, and business solutions based on predictive models. It is an initiative to provide a platform for data enthusiasts to learn, apply and put a point to their data science skills through the social impact challenges presented through datasets.

Datalytics are a type of datathon conducted Bhagwan Parshuram Instititute of Technology where teams of enethursatic data scientist came across and work together to solve a common data-oriented problem in a limited time period over a day or weekend. The final product of a Datathon is often a report alongside of analysis code that will be judged by a panel of experts.
